Expert Help for Complex Feeding Challenges

Dr. Schecter is both a physician and an IBCLC. She offers thorough, medical-level care that goes beyond typical lactation support. At Breastfeeding Medicine of NJ, we treat the parent–baby team together to get to the root of feeding challenges.

Your visit includes examination and treatment of both the lactating parent (if applicable) and the baby so we can address everything affecting feeding success.

Insurance & Fees

We want feeding support to be easily accessible, not confusing. Here’s what you should know before you book:

✅ In-Network with Aetna & Meritain
We are currently in-network with Aetna and Meritain (managed by Aetna). If you have private Aetna coverage, your visit should be fully covered, but there may be a patient responsibility (copay, coinsurance, and/or deductible) applied by your plan.

✅ All Other Insurance: Self-Pay + Reimbursement Option
If you have a different insurer, you’ll pay at the time of your visit. But don’t worry: we’ll provide a detailed claim and receipt, which you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Many families receive partial or full reimbursement this way. Please contact your insurance company directly to learn about your plan's out of network benefits.
