Dr. Amy Schecter, MD, MS, IBCLC, FABM
A Physician. A Lactation Consultant. A Mother Who Gets It.
Breastfeeding can be one of the most beautiful, yet challenging parts of caring for a baby. Dr. Schecter understands this, not only as a highly trained physician, but also as a mother of four, including three babies with tongue-ties.
Her mission is simple: to help families feed their babies with less pain, more confidence, and real, personalized support.

-
Low milk supply
-
Slow infant weight gain
-
Breast and nipple pain
-
Mastitis, breast abscess, blebs, thrush, & vasospasm
-
Inducing lactation in non-gestational parents
Her approach combines medical expertise and advanced lactation training to deliver thorough, personalized care that gets to the root of feeding difficulties.
Beyond her credentials, Dr. Schecter is also a mother of four, including three children who had tongue ties. She knows firsthand the stress and worry parents can feel when feeding isn't going as planned. This personal experience fuels her compassionate, non-judgmental approach. She understands that every family is unique and supports families according to their individual feeding goals, challenges, and values.
